Spencer On Jumping Jellyfish
This is NOT a scary ride. lol. But what a view!
So happy to see they DIDN'T destroy this classic ride when they rebooted it last year.
Our kids didn't do this one this trip, but how cool is THAT?!?! A light saber fight with Darth Vader himself?!?! And Darth Maul?? Pretty darned cool.
Here's what happens when you give a 2-year-old the keys to the car. But heck, she STILL drove better than 90% of California drivers. HAHA.
The loud THUD we heard was the backyard umbrella blowing away and taking one of the patio chairs with it into the swimming pool. This is a HEAVY umbrella. Hard enough to move it around. This thing blew like a paper airplane.
Just a small sign of how windy it got at Spencer's house.
My best bud and ghost hunting partner, Jon Almada, gets gutsy and explores the second floor of a ruined building at the old Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California.
Not sure what they were doing, but this NYPD copter was cool as it hovered just a stone's throw away from us at the Top of the Rock.
Mary Walter and I enjoy the view of New York City and beyond from the Top of the Rock.
More views high atop the Top of the Rock in New York City. Thanks to Mary Walter for joining me and pointing everything out to me!
Incredible view of New York City from the Top of the Rock. Mary Walter joined me.
The beautiful panoramic view of Manhattan from Roosevelt Island. Breathtaking.
The Rockefeller Building has one of the best views in New York City. And the craziest and fastest elevator ride ever.
Continued exploration around the fenced off perimeter of the crumbling edifice of the old TB hospital on Roosevelt Island.
Walking the perimeter of the ruins of the old TB hosptial on Roosevelt Island.
The original Elmhurst Hospital housed the insane, the criminal, and the poor. It opened in the early 1830s. The new location is in nearby Queens.
Got to Roosevelt Island a little on the early side--the gates weren't unlocked until 8:15am. They allow closer access for hikers, runners, people walking their dogs, and the curious.
WOW! I thought Grand Central Station was impressive from the OUTSIDE. Nothing could prepare me for the majestic and immense interior. I couldn't even get good flash pictures because it was SO large from one end to the other. Incredible, wonderful place.
The front of Grand Central Station. It felt like a movie set. It was too incredible to be real.
Even from the side entrance, Grand Central Station is larger than life. I had no idea what to expect inside. It was ENORMOUS and MAJESTIC.
I hadn't eaten in hours and this little diner is open 24 hours and is right at the Tram entrance, 60th Street and 2nd Avenue. NICE pastrami sandwich. And the coffee was as strong as I needed it to be. Cool little place and right out of a television show.
This was after 11pm and I was waiting for the Roosevelt Tram at 60th Street and 2nd Avenue. You know the King Kong ride at Universal Florida? These are the trams that King Kong is knocking around. lol. Luckily my ride was much smoother.
