The fear of Hell is such an insidious part of religious indoctrination.
It’s what kept me tied to Christianity at the end. The thought of being eternally punished was terrifying.
But then I realized it’s all made up nonsense. I knew intuitively that if an all loving god actually existed, it wouldn’t be full of rage and retribution for simply not believing in it.
